Perceptual Shift
We curated and produced this 3D halftone sculpture using 1,252 wooden balls, pieces of paint, and braided fibers which ultimately created the form of an eye depending on the physical position of the observer. Depending on where the viewer stood in the room, the eye either perfectly formed or was completely disfigured to reveale the hundreds of pieces hanging from various heights and depths to create its shape. The piece was inspired by the current controversy surrounding information privacy, mass surveillance and data collection.
